Symptom
A router running IOS-XE 17.x.x may experience a crash due to a CPUHOG hog event when walking ciscoFlashMIB (1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.10).
Conditions
Router is running IOS-XE 17.x.xSNMP is polling ciscoFlashMIB (1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.10)Router is already running code with the fix for CSCvx02009Other specific triggers are unknown at this time, as this issue only rarely impacts some routers
Workaround
Block the ciscoFlashMIB via:

snmp-server view CSCvz89354 ciscoFlashMIB excluded
snmp-server community (community string) view CSCvz89354 ro
snmp-server community (community string) view CSCvz89354 rw
exit

Further Problem Description
This is a continuation of bug CSCvx02009 which only added a potential preventative fix which was not fully verified due to the inability to reliably recreate the issue. The behavior is still being investigated.
This issue is fixed by CSCwc89823 in 17.9.4 and 17.11.1
