Symptom
As per the following old caveats, CSCua78794 "Standalone H-REAP APs do not send SSID in called-station-ID"
For AirOS deployment , they have added code to send MAC:SSID format in Called-station-Id. Which is default value, while sending radius packet from AP in standalone mode and in case of local authentication also.
For 9800 deployment, that same behavior can be confirmed by collecting span captures from AP switch port of called station format MAC:SSID when local authentication is used.
Changing the global AAA attribute configuration on the controller will not affect the default configuration of the access point when local authentication is used as the access point is the main point of contact of authentication with server in this case.
A request to having this attribute changed/modified when using local authentication.
Conditions
AP in Flex mode local authentication is used while connected to 9800 controller.
Workaround
For 9800 deployment, by default, the AAA attribute that will be sent when using location authentication is MAC:SSID [Base code] , changing the controller global configuration will not have any impact as of now.
