Symptom
FMC upgrade fails at 800_post/880_install_VDB.sh.
Conditions
VDB file name uploaded on FMC includes brackets.
i.e. file name ends with (1).tar:
Cisco_VDB_Fingerprint_Database-4.5.0-341.sh.REL(1).tar
Workaround
- Remove incorrect VDB image with (1).tar extention from FMC
rm /var/sf/updates/Cisco_VDB_Fingerprint_Database-4.5.0-341.sh.REL(1).tar
- Upload correct image without (1).tar "Cisco_VDB_Fingerprint_Database-4.5.0-341.sh.REL.tar"
- Then Push upgrade.
- Starting from version 6.6.3 FMC will not allow you to upload any image if the name is contained(1). It will be showing the error "Error
Upload failed: Cisco_VDB_Fingerprint_Database-4.5.0-343.sh.REL(1).tar does not exist or it is not valid or filename is invalid
