Symptom
For the Cisco Nexus 3000 Series Switches and Nexus 9000 Series Switches in standalone NX-OS mode Python2.7 is end-of-life but is still packaged to support backward compatibility for the customer scripts. The following warning message is displayed for customers that they need to migrate to Python3.
switch# python
Warning: Python 2.7 is End of Support, and future NXOS software will deprecate
python 2.7 support. It is recommended for new scripts to use 'python3' instead.
Type "python3" to use the new shell.
PSIRT Evaluation
The Cisco PSIRT has evaluated this issue and does not meet the criteria for PSIRT ownership or involvement. This issue will be addressed via normal resolution channels.
