Symptom
ASR1K ucode crash seen rarely with CTR TIMEOUT interrupt seen in the logs or ucode core file decode.
Other process crashes like cpp_cp_svr may crash as a result of ucode crash.
Conditions
Platform: ASR 1006-X ESP200-X or ESP100-X
Image: 17.05.01.0.478 (Controller Mode)
Conditions related to the issue:
BFD session scale and traffic load in data plane
Topology: Multi-D Scale
Features enabled: IPSEC+QOS+DPI+CFLOWD
BFD sessions: 8000
CFLOWS: 2000000
Traffic : IMIX 18Gbps
Very high QFP load
Workaround
Issue seen with huge CFLOW and BFD session scale and high QFP load. Reduce flow counts to 1M or less to avoid this issue
