Symptom

Nexus 7000 will show vPC port-channels that are configured for spanning-tree port-type network in BKN state after configuring "vpc role preempt"

Conditions

Nexus 7000 running 8.2(4) and having "spanning-tree port-type network" configured on vPC port channels. "vpc role preempt" gets configured on secondary device. Issue is seen on the switch that transitions its vpc-role from 'primary' to 'secondary'.

Workaround

Shut, no shut of the affected links on new vpc secondary should recover it.
