Symptom
OSPF Multi-area adjacency stuck in EXCHANGE after device reload
Conditions
Multi-area adjacency stuck in exchange after following order:
1) establish main session on the link.
2) apply 'ip router ospf multiarea command'
3) change MTU on the link (from 1500 to 9216 for example)
4) reload one of the box.
After reload main session is established; multi-area not.
Workaround
1) Enter the 'ip router ospf multi-area ' command on the interface after the MTU is changed.
2) Enter the ?apply ip ospf mtu-ignore? command.
