Symptom
A Cat 9k Switch can reload unexpectedly, due to a fault in the Trust Anchor Module Service (TAMS) process:
[parser] [23336]: UUID: 0, ra: 0 (note): CMD: 'show license status standby'
[parser] [23336]: UUID: 0, ra: 0 (note): CMD: 'show platform integrity sign nonce 6129'
Timeout after 5000ms
Error parsing TAMC_CMD_DEVICE_PERM response message
Timeout after 5000ms
Error receiving SRP4 message
TAMC IPC: tamc app login failed: TAM_ERROR_IPC_TIMEOUT
Conditions
The failures occur when trying to access the TAMS process, which either occurs during bootup, or by running commands like "show platform integrity ...".
Workaround
Can be partially avoided by avoiding the execution of commands like "show platform integrity ...". The checks on bootup can't be avoided aside from avoiding resets for other reasons.
Further Problem Description
This issue was first seen when doing 100 or so automated reloads of a stack, was only seen rarely.
