Symptom
A Cisco device running IOS-XE may see a traceback that shows the following symptoms:
%DATACORRUPTION-1-DATAINCONSISTENCY: strncat_s: copy was truncated (not enough space in dest)
%DATACORRUPTION-1-DATAINCONSISTENCY: strncat_s: slen exceeds max
show data-corruption will also list the traceback that was recorded.
Conditions
This is seen when an arbitrary input command is expanded out and exceeds a very large character string.
Further Problem Description
At this time there has been no functional impact associated with this traceback.
