Symptom

- Cat9200L using SFP GLC-GE-100FX module is not coming to Up/Up state.

Conditions

- The problem has been identified on Cat9200L running codes 16.9.3, 16.9.4, 16.11.1 and 16.12.1 and with SFP GLC-GE-100FX. - The SFP is properly detected by the Cat9200L switch, however it is not coming up even with a loopback test. ### Inventory NAME: "Gi1/1/1", DESCR: "100BaseFX SFP" PID: , VID: , SN: OPC09010402 NAME: "Gi1/1/2", DESCR: "100BaseFX SFP" PID: , VID: , SN: OPC09010803 ### Current status Gi1/1/1 notconnect trunk half 100 100BaseFX SFP Gi1/1/2 notconnect trunk half 100 100BaseFX SFP - The affected SFPs have a SN that starts with OPC and OPA. E.g. OPC14047397. - It is not fully confirmed yet, but seems that SFPs with a prefix OPT in the SN, are not affected.

Workaround

For GLC-GE-100FX, only version 2 (V02) and above will be supported. Hardware version number can be verified by checking the label on the SFP. https://tmgmatrix.cisco.com/ for further details.
