Symptom
SNMP timeouts every time they poll the entSensor MIB. Likely, a SNMP-3-RESPONSE_DELAYED error message will be seen in the logs refernces ensSensorMIB
Conditions
Network management system is polling device with SNMP.
At least one transceiver is installed.
This only applies to catalyst 9500 and catalyst 9600. A similar issue was fixed for catalyst 9300 and cat3k's by CSCvi48988
Workaround
Apply a SNMP view to the culprit OID will temporarily fix the issue
- Snmp-server view iso included
- Snmp-server view entSensor excluded
Then you have to apply the above view to the existing community strings as showing below:
- snmp-server community view RO
- snmp-server community view RW
