Symptom
Flooding of LLDP Frames in Fabric when LLDP DMAC is 0180.C200.0003. Since current code behavior does not account for 0180.C200.0003 within LLDP code, the following syslogs will be observed
"%LLDP-3-INVALID_LLDP_RECEIVED: Received an invalid LLDP on Eth1/X Reason: Invalid LLDP MAC"
Conditions
1. Feature LLDP is enabled
2. LLDP logging level is set to 3 or higher
3. N9K receives an LLDP packet with DST MAC 0180.C200.0003
Workaround
++ Have sending device use 01:80:c2:00:00:0e
Further Problem Description
T2 (Broadcom) based N9K will flood of LLDP Frames in VXLAN enabled VLAN (Including to the fabric) when LLDP frame received with DMAC of 0180.C200.0003.
This bug addresses the flooding part of the issue only. A separate bug (CSCvo43884) has been opened to have 0180.C200.0003 mac supported added to LLDP component.
Fixed releases:
- starting with 7.0(3)I7(6) for 7.x
- starting with 9.2(4) for 9.2(x)
- 9.3(x) is not affected
