Symptom

CRC errors increment on a leaf switch front panel port, fabric ports, and spine switch ports in a fabric with switches whose model names end with -EX, -FX, or later.

Conditions

This issue occurs when FCS errors are received on switches whose model names end with -EX, -FX, or later.

Workaround

Use vsh_lc and 'show platform internal counters port x | egrep "CRC|FCS" FCS indicates there is a physical layer issue on this interface CRC means a stomped CRC was received and the physical layer issue came from a switch connected via this interface
