Symptom
run_hm core is generated when run_hm.pl fails to find the show_output file in the correct path.
/var/log/process_stderr.log shows the lina_troubleshoot.pl continuously trying to run, but failing because the show_output.txt file does not exist:
run_hm[1917]: called from /var/sf/bin/lina_troubleshoot.pl (41)
run_hm[1917]: can't open show_output.txt: No such file or directory
Snort process might experience high CPU.
Conditions
run_hm.pl fails to find the show_output file in the correct path.
Workaround
There is no workaround. Please contact Cisco TAC for the hotfix or upgrade SW to fixed version.
