Symptom
The ibdata1 file in /var/lib/mysql folder might grow large in size, e.g. 1+ TB.
Other symptoms:
- Low disk space
- Software upgrade may fail due to running out of disk space
- Slowness in the user interface of the FMC.
- Readiness check may fail due to files are too large to upgrade.
Workaround
Contact TAC for script to reduce the size.
Further Problem Description
Since the defect is in the MySQL component of the Firepower software, even after upgrade to version 6.4.x the file might still grow large in size. In this case, follow the Workarounds section.
Fresh installs of fixed release do not need to follow the workaround as the configuration changes are already present.
