Symptom
On catalyst9400 , running following command had issue of showing PEC Error for power supplies.
switch#show platform hardware chassis power-supply detail all

PS2 0xE7 0x00 0x00 0x04 PEC error <=== PEC error bit was set for power supply because of the one of the i2c write with incorrect checksum on to the power supply while accessing its register.
Workaround
Update to the release which has this fix.
Further Problem Description
Even though it shows a PEC error, its not harmful though and could be ignored.
