Symptom

EIGRP offset-list stays active in EIGRP process if access-list used in offset-list is removed before offset-list itself

Conditions

EIGRP offset-list configured under EIGRP process using access list. Steps to trigger (in order): - Access list is removed - Offset-list is removed from EIGRP process

Workaround

1. Steps to clear the active offset after triggering the state: - Configure empty access list with the same name - Add the same offset-list under EIGRP configuration - Remove offset-list from EIGRP - Remove access list 2. Avoid trigger: - Remove offset-list before removing access list used in offset list
