Symptom
High memory utilization on Catalyst switch.
The output of "show process memory platform sorted" indicates the pvp.sh process consumes more and more memory.
The issue is observed also on other switches in the stack. The below CLI can be used to monitor the memory usage on other switches:
show process memory platform location switch
This memory exhaustion can eventually cause an unexpected reload of the device.
Conditions
Catalyst switch configured with "stackwise-virtual" and running affected software version.
Workaround
Reload the affected Switch to free memory allocations.
