Symptom

Invalid/unsupported configuration is allowed: IPv6 egress ACL over BVI. An IPv6 ACL can be attached to a BVI interface in the egress direction, which will consume TCAM resources, however, it is not supported and does not work.

Conditions

Only affects release 6.1.x and 6.2.x. (fixed in 6.3.2 and beyond) Only affects NCS5500 family of routers. Must configure IPv6 ACL and attach to egress BVI interface in order to hit problem.

Workaround

Avoid invalid/unsupported configuration (IPv6 egress ACL over BVI). Detach ACL from BVI interface.
