Symptom
Switches will use CDP to convey the PnP startup-vlan, on which the PnP process has to reach the server for config download. when an upstream switch is configured to relay the vlan information to the downstream switches, they are in turn relaying it back further to the other switches connected which should not be the case.
Conditions
When the upstream switch is configure with a PnP startup vlan which it has to relay it to the downstream switches, the downstream switches will also start propagating the same vlan.
Workaround
Need to remove the config from upstream as well as all the downstream switch simultaneously before cdp refresh timer expires.
Further Problem Description
This was incorrect implementation of having CDP being used as the carrier to relay the pnp startup-vlan. this bug ONLY affects the N7000 platforms and although the same functionaly is present in catalyst switches this bug is not present in them.
