Symptom
The C9400 platform currently does not have commands available to turn power off to a given module.
On older platforms, this would be accomplished via the global configuration "no power enable ...". This does not exist on the C9400.
Additionally, the old method of reloading modules or supervisor engines is not available either.
This used to be accomplished with the command "hw-module module reset" in Exec mode.
This defect is raised to implement these features on the C9400 platform fully.
Conditions
No special conditions are required to encounter this defect.
Workaround
A soft reload of the modules (but not the supervisor engines) in the system can be performed with the command "hw-module subslot oir power-cycle".
Replace the <slot/" with the slot number of the module you wish to reload. Use "/0" for the subslot.
Otherwise there are no methods currently available to manually disable power to a slot in the C9400.
