Symptom
N5600 with vpc and dual home FEX (101) and FEX (102) . We have one access switch connected to each FEX 101 and FEX 102 and configured for HSRP.
- ARP and MAC for HSRP VIP are learnt on HIF-101
- when we shut the SVI of the active HSRP access-switch, other takes over.
- the new active sends GARP , one 5600 relearns through new HIF 102
- but other switch still points to the OLD interface.
- this results in ping loss
Conditions
The issue is seen on train : 7.3(2)N1(1) and 7.3(0)N1(1)
The issue is not seen on 7.1(4)N1(1)
