Symptom
A PFRv3 border router fails to establish a TCP socket to the master controller on port 17749. This problem results in the BR to MC peering remaining down and does not recover. In the output of show domain border status will indicate min requirement not met and that the socket is not connected.
Connection Status with Master: DOWN (retry in 00:00:00)
MC connection info: Socket Pending: Socket is not connected
A packet capture will show that no TCP packets are sent from the BR toward the MC on port 17749, although connectivity is there. A Ping between the BR and MC works.
Conditions
This was observed after a device reload with no other changes made to the configuration.
Workaround
Remove and reconfigure the IWAN domain in global configuration mode.
