Symptom
VSM card in ASR9K resets automatically with the following possible symptoms:
- wdsysmon reset after 30 second timeout
- Watchdog reset not associated with eUSB disk related errors
- Some types of QNX kernel crashes
Conditions
Typical conditions include random kernel events that occur rarely and are seen mainly when QNX OS is run on top of Linux KVM hypervisor. Events are internal to the kernel due to loss of interrupts between virtual CPUs or timeout during transfer of floating point register context by kernel between virtual CPUs that can cause the kernel and the XR VM thereby, to hang.
