Symptom
N5K-C5696Q: Interface number in storm control log is incorrect.
For example, eth1/1 is set to storm control and eth1/2 is not set to it.
When eth1/1 receives broadcast storm, interface number in output storm control logs is "eth1/2" instead of "eth1/1".
Port mappings in this issue like below.
[Interface # received storm] [Interface # in storm control log]
eth1/1 --------------------------> eth1/2
eth1/2 --------------------------> eth1/1
eth1/3 --------------------------> eth1/4
eth1/4 --------------------------> eth1/3
...
Conditions
Nexus N5K-C5696Q with N5696-M20UP running with 7.1(3)N1(2) and 7.3(0)N1(1).
