Symptom

SSH version 2 gets disabled after the software upgrade or reload. "ip ssh version 2" is still present in the startup-config.

Conditions

"ip ssh version 2" configured on the device. Software upgrade performed to an affected software version

Workaround

reapply the missing configuration manually using a console/telnet connection OR Make sure the RSA keypair is associated with IP SSH config prior to reload: #ip ssh rsa keypair-name
