Symptom
On doing shut/no shut on the port, BFD session on the interface flaps once (due to Echo failure) before stabilizing
Conditions
shut/no shut on the interface where BFD is configured
Workaround
1) Increase Echo Interval to be larger than Async Interval
OR
2)Disable Echo
Further Problem Description
When shut is done on the interface where BFD session has been configured, the session will go down as expected.
On doing no shut, the session comes up, but then goes down again due to Echo failure before coming back up again.
