Symptom
Following message is logged by ISIS process
isis[1009]: %ROUTING-ISIS-3-ERR_LOCKING_FAIL : Unexpected error 'Operation not permitted' trying to unlock the Adjacency Database is observed
ISIS stops sending and receiving hello packets, which brings down the adjacencies.
ISIS show commands may not work
Conditions
ISIS link-group configuration is being used
Workaround
There is no workaround.
To recover the services restart the ISIS process.
