Symptom

Cisco AVS sometimes misses the EPP IGMP group report.

Conditions

Cisco AVS sends joins initially through vmknic; subsequent queries from the Cisco Nexus 5000 are fielded by the VMware stack. The VMware IGMP report misses the group that the vmknic is subscribed to and does not cross-check it against the endpoint group's multicast addresses.

Workaround

Enter the command "vem restart" on the Cisco AVS host.
