Symptom
No auto-config being triggered after changing from "encapsulation dynamic dot1q" to "encapsulation dynamic vmtracker"
Conditions
1) Initially the interface was configured with VMTracker trigger, e.g., "encapsulation dynamic vmtracker" with the VM powered off.
2) The interface was then changed from VMTracker trigger to do1q trigger, e.g., "encapsulation dynamic dot1q"
3) The VM was then powered on
4) Changed the interface again from dot1q trigger to VMTracker trigger, i.e., from "encapsulation dynamic dot1q" to "encapsulation dynamic vmtracker"
After the above sequence, auto-config is not triggered by VMTracker for the VLANs on that interface.
Workaround
Manually issue the VMTracker refresh CLI " vmtracker connection refresh " to force a sync between the local database and the vCenter so that auto-config can be triggered.
