Permanent fix is available in 6217 release.
Symptom
Cannot run copy running-config startup-config after making NTP changes. If a system switchoveris performed while in this state, standby supervisor will be stuck in a powered-up state.
Following messages might also be seen:
show logging log
%SYSMGR-2-GSYNC_SNAPSHOT_SRVFAILED: Service "ntp" on active supervisor failed to store its snapshot (error-id 0x801E003E)
%DAEMON-3-SYSTEM_MSG: ntp:select() error:Bad file descriptor - ntpd
After issuing feature ntp or no feature ntp the switch might reload the active supervisor in rare circumstances.
Conditions
1. Running NXOS 6.2(11b)
2. Either you are trying to add or remove ntp configuration consisting of ntp source-interface as one of the commands.
3. copy running-config startup-config now times out after making the ntp change.
4. If a system switchover was performed, the standby supervisor will be stuck in a powered-up state.
5. After issuing feature ntp or no feature ntp the switch might reload the active supervisor.

Further Problem Description
Additionally ntpd may crash and generate core files, these can be seen using show cores.
Resolution Summary
In fixed releases NTP changes will no longer affect performing copy running-config startup-config
