Symptom

For TDM to IP call flows on 43xx routers RTP packets are not marked as DSCP EF as is the default. This situation causes access-lists designed around the DSCP values of packets for policy maps selection to be ignored and priority for RTP traffic in interface queues to be sidestepped.

Conditions

only impact TDM to IP traffic, IP to IP traffic is not affected

Workaround

The access list can be defined to the port range normally used for RTP traffic and have policy map mark the traffic as EF.
