Symptom
During an ISSU upgrade with Ethernet SLA operations in progress, and Ethernet SLA debug turned on, CFM-D unexpectedly reloads.
, , , and directives-->
Conditions
This issue affects ISSU upgrades where the previous Cisco IOS-XR Software is a release between 4.3.2 and 5.1.0 and the upgrade is to Cisco IOS-XR Software Release 5.2.0 or higher. It only affects the CRS and ASR9K Platforms. It will only occur if there are configured, in-progress or historical on-demand SLA operations on a MEP on a physical interface (that is, SLA operations on bundle interfaces will not cause the reload), and only when SLA debug is turned on.
Workaround
If there is Ethernet SLA configuration present, ensure all Ethernet SLA debug is turned off before an ISSU upgrade. Ethernet SLA debug can be re-enabled once the SLA operations appear in the output of show ethernet sla operations.
Further Problem Description
If you have already seen this issue during an ISSU upgrade, then on-demand SLA operations and related historical statistics are likely to be no longer available.
