Symptom
When isis protocol packets arrive at a high rate, log messages similar to the following are seen:
clns[243]: %PKT_INFRA-PQMON-6-QUEUE_DROP : Taildrop on XIPC queue 1 owned by isis
(jid=1006)
This indicates that isis packets are being dropped before they can be processed. If enough Hello packets are dropped this may result in adjacencies going down.
Workaround
Adjacency drops may be mitigated by increasing the dead interval.
