Symptom
When headend Juniper router tries to create a TE tunnel with a fractional Tspec rate value, an ASR9k (as midpoint router) will round this value (to a whole number) in it's upstream RESV message.
The headend Juniper router will log a warning message:
RPD_RSVP_INCORRECT_FLOWSPEC: Bandwidth in PATH Tspec greater than RESV flowspec for Session.
Note that when the PATH message comes from the headend router with this fractional Tspec rate value, the ASR9K does not round the rate value.
Conditions
This occurs when a Juniper router is the headend.
If a Cisco XR router is headend, it will not send out a fractional rate value, so this error will not be seen.
Workaround
No work-around is needed, as only a warning message is seen. The TE tunnel builds, and remains up.
