Symptom
Process snmpd might crash if application sending GET/GETNEXT request with partial index for vtpInternalVlanTable in CISCO-VTP-MIB.
Entires of might be missing if application sending GET/GETNEXT request with partial index for the following tables:
vtpVlanTable
vtpVlanEditTable
vtpInternalVlanTable
Conditions
The problem occurs only if SNMP GET/GETNEXT request contains one index.
There is no problem if with GET/GETNEXT has two indexes or no index which is most commonly seen in SNMP walk.
Workaround
Ask assplication to use two indexes or no index in the GET/GETNEXT request for the affected tables in CISCO-VTP-MIB.
Further Problem Description
Problem exists in NX-OS Software release 5.1(x), 5.2(1-9), 6.0(x), 6.1(1-4), 6.2(1-4) and 6.2(6).
Fix had been integrated into 5.2(10), 6.1(5), 6.2(5), 6.2(7), 6.2(8) and later releases.
