Symptom
Ping with MPLS OAM comes back with a DS-MAP mismatch flag on load balancing paths.
Conditions
Differences in the CEF hashing mechanism between the RP and the line cards in a load balancing scenario. This can be checked by using the following commands.
show cef exact-route loc
show cef exact-route loc
This is occurring in load balancing scenario and only affecting ASR9k 1st gen linecards (Trident).
Workaround
None. There is no other impact other than DS-MAP mismatch occurring for certain ECMP paths.
Further Problem Description
The fix for this issue requires extensive testing and we are working to fix this issue in 5.3.0.
