Symptom

ISE 1.2 is unable to authenticate users with 21 character usernames.

Conditions

1. Create and AD account with a 21+ character user name. 2. Authenticate user for Network access Event 5400 Authentication failed Failure Reason 22056 Subject not found in the applicable identity store(s)

Workaround

Login using the pre-Windows 2000 username
