Symptom

Not all HSRP secondary addresses are displayed when many are configured. This affects the output of "show run" and "show hsrp" commands.

Conditions

When over 126 HSRP *secondary* virtual addresses are used on a *single* group some of the secondary addresses may not be displayed in a "show run" command. A reload of the box will mean that some secondary addresses will be lost from the configuration. The other aspect of this issue is that the output of "show hsrp" is truncated when many secondary addresses are configured per group. This aspect of the issue is largely cosmetic.

Workaround

Use no more than 126 HSRP secondary addresses per HSRP group to avoid problems with "show run" command and loss of secondary addresses after reload.
