Symptom

Process ifmgr running on some ASR9K line cards may be killed by the WatchDog and System Monitor running on IOX 4.2.0 software, leaving core dump files behind, and it could also impact the running configuration on the ASR9k router.

Conditions

This occurs occasionally when the router has a huge running configuration and large number of interfaces (including sub-interfaces) on some line cards (listed below), and dramatic configuration changes on the running configuration are attempted. A9K-2x100GE-TR A9K-MOD80-SE

Workaround

None Recovery: Re-apply the configuration changes.
