Symptom

Cisco IOS/IOS-XE device may report: %SYS-3-TIMERNEG: Cannot start timer with negative offset . -Process= "SNMP Traps", ipl= 0, pid= ".

Conditions

This issue is related to SNMP process/component and seen when SNMPv3 configured with "informs". This issue can be seen in different IOS/IOS-XE devices that support SNMPv3 and Informs.

Workaround

Use "traps" instead of "informs".
