Symptom

RSA key cannot be configured under a keyring any more. The RSA key will be configured in global configuration.

Conditions

This occurs on a Cisco ASR 1000 series router configured for RSA key encryption with a keyring name having more than 8 characters.

Workaround

Modify the keyring name to be less than 8 characters.
